Our next sale be in 2009, and it will be held at Travers Island, the prestigious New York Athletic Club compound overlooking Long Island Sound in Pelham Manor, NY. In the meanwhile here is a recent scanned in discovery for those interested in the works of Herman Herzog (1832-1932), the following 12 scanned in photos are a reproduction of what was described by his estate as the Hand List of his important 1000 paintings. Often these titles/list numbers can be corroborated on the back of his works by either period linen labels with a three digit number or later transcriptions onto the stretcher itself of these vital numbers since lost. Herzog's paintings are in over 18 prominent museums (including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Smithsonian Institution and the White House) and his Dusseldorf trained palette was magnificent at showing the wonders of the New World to the Royalty of the Old World.
